11/21/2023 0 Comments Commander anowonWe have a lot of evasive Rogues we can use to grab back Monarch if we lose it, and giving all our creatures unblockable will let us close out the game quickly. ] and ] are both excellent Prowl cards that offer further utility. First, I opted to include some Rogues that were left out of the original list. It’s a really efficient and cutthroat deck that should be a lot of fun to pilot straight out the box.įor upgrading the deck, I wanted to focus on all three of those Rogue themes I mentioned earlier, and build them out in a way that increases the power level and consistency of the deck. Along the way, we have the old-school Rogue mechanic of Prowl further giving us benefits for connecting, as well as some cards that will steal cards from your opponent’s graveyard for our own use. Sneak Attack is focused on playing rogues, swinging in with them, milling your opponent, and drawing cards based on your mill. Anowon is a perfect commander for Rogue tribal because he manages to bring all these different themes together under one tent. With the addition of these two new sets, Rogues also have an interest in milling your opponents. Before Core 2021 and Zendikar Rising, Rogues as a tribe were basically evasive creatures that draw a card when they connect. I’ve been a fan of the Rogue subtype for a while, so you can be sure that I was excited Rogues got both a defined tribal identity as well as a commander that supports it. Today I wanted to focus on the Sneak Attack deck. The two decks are Land’s Wrath, a deck focused on landfall and counter synergies, and Sneak Attack, featuring rogue tribal and a theft subtheme. Goal: Play evasive rogues and incidental mill, pump those rogues for more damage and mill, use theft effects to steal your opponents best cards, win with either combat damage or combo.įor ”The Year of Coronav- I mean, Commander”, Wotc decided to switch away from releasing Planeswalker decks with their standard sets and instead released two commander supplemental products, themed around the set. "Be polite, be efficient, and have a plan to kill everyone you meet." Those decks might indeed be cheaper than their more competitive counterparts, but they are in no way budget. It comes down to the fact that I was tired of seeing people posting their "budget" decks on other subs or on other forums only to find out they were actually $100, $200, or even $300+. However they likely will be easy to upgrade if you do wish to spend a little extra money. Decks here probably won't be anything close to top tier, as they are only $50 or $25. If you want to provide feedback on Brewer's Corner lists, you can use the feedback form found in the changelog channel on our Discord server and linked below. The goal of this sub is to provide players with actually budget edh decks that they can use for casual games. We'll look into how well the decks are maintained and perform, and how frequently they're played after the initial hype. We will still have general power level guidelines (for example, it will be hard to admit Isamaru despite how optimized a list might be), but they are less strict than our guidelines for older commanders.Įach review cycle, the managers and the reviewers revisit the entries in the Brewer's Corner. In terms of deck evaluation, we will mostly be concerned with optimizing the commander, rather than comparing them to existing entries. New entries that do not fit under any of the existing ones will go into the Brewer's Corner. The Brewer's Corner is a solution for many of these concerns. While we'd like to see these new commanders represented, many lists aren't maintained after the initial hype period. EDH is increasing in popularity and a lot of people want to play with new commanders.
